The short version
BharatDash doesn't sell your data. The brokerage simulator and trade journal run entirely in your browser — your trade data never reaches a server we control. This page describes what data is collected today and will be kept up to date as that changes.
Your trade data stays on your device
Trades you log in the Brokerage Simulator's "My Trades" tab are saved using your browser's localStorage, a standard browser feature. This data is never transmitted to BharatDash or any server — it lives only on the device and browser you used to enter it. Clearing your browser data, using a different browser, or switching devices means that data is gone or unavailable, since there's no account system and nothing is backed up remotely. This is also why we point to the paid Excel template as a more permanent option, if you want one.
What we do collect
Our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and uptime purposes — this is infrastructure-level logging common to any website.
BharatDash may also use third-party services — such as analytics or advertising providers — to support the site. These services can set their own cookies or collect data under their own privacy policies. As they're added, this page will be updated to describe which services are in use and link to their respective policies.
Forms and contact
If you email us at contact@bharatdash.com, we receive whatever you choose to send us (your email address and message content) and use it only to reply to you. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone else.
Cookies
Your light/dark theme preference is saved in your browser's local storage, the same mechanism used for trade data above — not a cookie, and not shared with anyone. If BharatDash uses third-party services that set their own cookies (for example, advertising or analytics providers), that will be described in "What we do collect" above as those services are added.
Third-party data on this site
Live market, gold/silver, weather, and sports data shown on BharatDash is fetched from third-party APIs purely to display on the page — viewing this data doesn't send any information about you to those providers beyond standard request metadata (like your IP address), in the same way visiting any website would.
